A very impressive battle and Dany’s arrival was breathtaking. Just, you know, having Rhaegel bath those White Walkers in dragonflame while Drogon took off might have been a good idea?
They are acting like Eastwatch is within walking distance. Gendry takes off running without his main weapon, without food or water, in a place he does not know in winter, and they expect him to survive? Oh he will because plot convenience but still, huh.
Can somebody please explain to me what breaking the wheel even means? They keep throwing out that phrase without ever telling us what they actually want to do. It’s all vague but apparently breaking the wheel is better so we should root for it. Also, Aegon Targaryen built the wheel, but what Dany is trying to do isn’t at all different from what Aegon did so, what are they talking about again?
Dany’s definition of hero needs some work. Drogo, Jorah and Daario?!!!!
If Jon does not look like Ned, he does not look like Lyanna. And he definitely does not look like Rhaegar. So who on earth does he look like?
(Also, dear show, didn’t Mance recognize Jon in earlier seasons because he looked like Ned?)
Okay, that double-back Sandor did when he recognized Brinne’s description was funny.
I like the dynamic with Tormund. It’s weird and I’m into it.
To use book!Arya’s words, this is stupid.
That’s a sweet memory about Ned.
But then we go into the stupidest plot ever. Arya, you WERE LITERALLY THERE. You know she was a prisoner. You know she pleaded for Ned’s life. You saw her collapse when Joffrey gave the order for execution. WTF.
And fuck that “did they torture you into writing it?” crap.
Game of Thrones, the show where Brienne of Tarth mysteriously forgets that she is carrying Ned Stark’s blade while with his children but offers it back to the guy who acquired it illegally and as a result of treason, but where Jon Snow offers Jorah Mormont the sword he forfeited by selling human beings to pay the bills.
I give up.
Okay, so hurrah for Jorah actually admitting that he was in the wrong
and that he blamed Ned for his fuck ups, but Jon’s forgiveness kick
stands in contrast to the fact that he was just talking about serving
justice.
Rolls eye at the bit with Gendry too “oh you’re upset you were sold like meat. He died so shut up”
